I designed a “magical” T.V. remote that is supposed to transport the main character between different sitcoms.
I added LEDs inside the chassis, which I 3D modeled and printed. View photos of the models below.
The front faceplate unscrewed, which allowed the faceplate to be interchangable, and for accesss to a small power bank, which powered the remote.
I designed two faceplates for the remote: one that allowed the actor to control the remote (left), and one that allowed the remote to be controlled by a crew member backstage (right). We decided to let the actor control when the remote would power on/off. View models of both faceplates below.
