Fenwick Band Concerts

Head Sound Designer

December 2024-Present | Bishop Fenwick High School

The Fenwick Band has two yearly concerts. Since December 2024, I have been the head sound designer for all Spring and Christmas Concerts. I wrote up an initial plan, including where to place microphones, and how to run cables, which I then execute. Before each concert, I slightly tweak the plan to accommodate any instrumentation changes. Below is the plan for the 2026 Spring Concert.

A stage plot for the Fenwick Band's Spring 2026 Concert. The top half shows a diagram of the stage and players, alongside microphone locations and cable paths. The bottom half is a table that shows (left to right) the instrument/instrument family, the microphone used, where the microphone plugs in, and the mic stand style, if applicable.

I also prepare a show file for our soundboard, so that the soundboard operator can run the show while I perform. Below is the show file for the 2025 Xmas Concert

A screenshot of Soundcraft SI Offline Impact, running a show file for a Fenwick Band Concert. It shows (from left to right) A mic used for speaking in between songs, microphones for each instrument/family, a VCA controlling all instruments, area mics, different output busses, and a talkback mic.

No publicly avalible recordings of these concerts are currently avalible, however, if you would like to view one, to obtain more previews of content shown here, or to download any resources shown, you may Contact Dave.
